Spaniards love sweets, that much is certain. Besides chocolate, they also love Turron. We can compare Turron with nougat. The basic ingredients are almonds, honey and protein. Over the years many dozens of variants have emerged, but these can still largely be divided into two groups : the hard and the soft Turron.
If you want to know more about these many varieties, how they make them and the history of these delicacies, then visit the Museo del Turron in Xixona (Jijona). You can watch a film there and make a guided visit to the museum. This can be in Spanish or English. And of course at the end of your visit you can also taste and possibly buy the Turron.
