While walking you discover the nature of the Rambla de Puça with its beautiful pools and waterfalls with the topper Cascade Xorret de Catí, a 15 meter high waterfall. At least if there has been enough rain in the past period. Especially in the warm summer months there is a chance that the waterfall will be dry. Keep this in mind to avoid any disappointment. The path largely runs along the water. Here and there you will inevitably have to cross the water stream using wooden planks or using the large stones. You can of course also opt to simply plod through the water. Depending on the amount of rain, this will even be a “must” in some places. This is the absolute max for children. Now that you know this in advance, you can provide yourself with suitable footwear. If you are traveling with little adventurers, it can also be recommended to bring spare clothes and shoes.
The starting point of this hike is fairly easy to find. This beautiful tour of about 9 to 10 km in total starts at the parking lot at Carrer la Font. You walk to the end of the parking lot and follow the path under the highway bridge. The first meters the route is densely planted, giving you the idea of being in the jungle for a few minutes. Soon the path becomes more open and easy to walk. Along the way you will encounter the remains of the Molí del Salt and the Molí de la Ponça. These mills used the power of the water to grind wheat and possibly other cereals into flour. Before reaching the Cascade Xorret de Catí you first encounter a smaller pool with two small waterfalls. A little further before it starts to rise slightly, is the pool with the 15 meter high waterfall. If the water is flowing, you can easily rely on your hearing to find the waterfall.
