Santa Pola - Moli la Calera

Moli La Calera

This windmill that supplied the people with ground grain was built in 1771. The mill owes its name to a lime oven in the area that was traditionally used for the production of lime. To avoid the danger of being hit by the sail when entering, the mill was fitted with a door in the north and one in the south, depending on the direction of the wind. The mill consists of two floors with the warehouse on the ground floor. Unfortunately, it cannot be visited on the inside today.
