Just south of the Mar Menor is the Calblanque National Park. This nature reserve of nearly 2.000 hectares is a protected area since 1987. You will find everything from dunes to salt water, from sea level to more than 300 meters above sea level.
The region is home to a very large variety of plants and the bird lover will also love this place. But most visitors come for its beautiful sandy beaches. On peak days, the number of visitors is limited. As a result, you can sometimes park for an hour or more before you can enter the area. Once inside, you can of course enjoy relatively quiet beaches.
